THE CREATIVE ECONOMY

JUDGING

Entries will be judged by a Jury composed of top International creatives. The shortlist is decided by the first voting. Further voting establishes the ranking in each category which is the basis for the Juries' discussions and awarding of Gold, Silver and Bronze Suns. A Grand Prix is then selected from all the Gold Sun winners.
Entries in the charities and public services categories are excluded from winning the Grand Prix. At all voting stages, a judge is prevented from voting for any entry submitted by his/her agency. The decision of the Juries in all matters relating to the awarding of prizes will be final and binding.

JUDGING CRITERIA

The jury's voting will be based on three criteria: The Idea, the execution and the context.
We want to promote work with a unique African identity. We will therefore, in terms of context, reward work that has a distinct African flavour.
Hence, the "Context" section will interrogate whether the work is distinctly African in its conceptualisation and indeed in its execution.
Each entry will be marked against 3 criteria, which will make up the total vote and these marks will be weighted as follows:

1. The Big Idea - 40%

40% Complete

2. The Execution - 30%
